On June 28, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Foothills Park, join ISA Board Certified Master Arborist Christine Johnson of Todd Prager & Associates to learn about the invasive emerald ash borer (EAB) and how to prepare for its future establishment in our area. The EAB is a tiny green insect with the potential to wipe out ash and white fringe trees in only a few years if left untreated.
The invasive EAB was first discovered in Oregon in 2022 in Forest Grove, just 30 miles northwest of Lake Oswego. In August 2024, the EAB was also confirmed in Yamhill, Marion, and Clackamas counties.
Capacity is limited to 30 participants. Register now!

Our Public Works crews have recently seen a sharp increase in non-flushable items clogging pumps in our sewer system. Items like wipes (even those labeled “flushable”), plastic applicators, paper towels, and even tube socks have been found jamming the system.
These items don’t break down like toilet paper and can create serious blockages, damage equipment, and cause costly backups—not just at the pump station, but potentially in your own home.
Only three things should go down the toilet: pee, poop, and (toilet) paper. When in doubt, throw it out!
Clean drinking water is an essential resource we rely on every day. Providing residents and businesses in Lake Oswego with safe, dependable, high-quality water is our top priority.
Lake Oswego’s tap water meets or exceeds every State and Federal standard for safe drinking water. Get to know your drinking water by reviewing the latest 2025 Water Quality Report.
The City of Lake Oswego has updated the Park Rules for entering Oswego Lake at Lower Millennium Plaza Park following the recent Court ruling and Council direction.
These updates help ensure a safe experience for the community. Please take a moment to review the new guidelines.
