Water Treatment Plant Construction Update

WTP staff continue their testing of the ozone system, which should be fully online this month.

Over the last two weeks, several of the contractor’s temporary construction trailers were dismantled and removed off-site, along with a few large excavators. The last of the large trailers will be leaving the site early next week. Two small trailers will be present for the remaining work.

Throughout April, crews have been forming and pouring curbs, gutters and catch basins; forming the driveway aprons on Kenthorpe Way; installing pervious pavers; grading the site; installing the secure perimeter fence; installing light poles; working on the stone walls; placing the split-rail fence and preparing for the pathway.

Weather permitting, crews aim to pave, install irrigation and begin placing landscaping this month.

Construction is expected to be complete in June. The green chain-link fence will be removed and the pathway will be open once all work is complete.
