Waluga Reservoir 1 Roof Replacement Construction Update

The end is in sight! Grading is now complete around the tank, and new rock has been placed. Reservoir roof hatches have also been poured.

Early next week, the interior of the WR1 will be cleaned and chlorinated. Shortly afterwards, crews will begin filling the WR1 for a week of testing before it is placed back in service.

All work and site restoration is expected to be complete in late May.

Neighbors, thank you for your continued patience throughout construction and replacement of the WR1 roof.

Once construction is complete and the site is fully restored, pathways through the reservoir site will be reopened.
Generally, work hours are Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., with some Saturdays, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
