Lake Oswego-Tigard water project reaches midway point

The Lake Oswego Tigard Water Partnership, the $254 million project designed to upgrade and increase system capacity to deliver drinking water from the Clackamas River to Lake Oswego and Tigard, has reached the halfway mark on budget and on schedule.

Project director Joel Komarek said Tuesday that construction is underway on every component of the new water system, with completion now expected — for the most part — by summer 2016.
