Lake Oswego-Tigard water system construction awaiting key permit

The cities of Lake Oswego and Tigard this summer are hiring contractors for a $250 million project to create a shared drinking water system.

The Lake Oswego Tigard Water Partnership in March awarded Stayton-based Slayden Construction Group a contract to build a river intake pump station on the Clackamas River in Gladstone, and it plans this summer and fall to hire more contractors to build other portions of the water system.
